Recipe in Arabic: لوبيا

Loubia is a simple and healthy Moroccan recipe, yet, it is very delicious. This recipe is made of canned beans (pinto beans) with tomatoes. This dish is also called: Moroccan beans or fasolia. The recipe is very easy to make and should not take a long time to prepare. Simply follow these steps:


Ingedients

  • ½ kg canned beans (pinto)
  • 250 grams of beef
  • ½ cup of olive oil
  • 1 bouquet parsley and cilantro
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 can of tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of ginger
  • ½ teaspoon of saffron

Preparation

  1. In a cooking pot, add oil, meat, onions, and spices
  2. Add the beans and water
  3. Leave on a medium heat for 30 minutes or until done

You can slightly change the above ingredients and preparation for Loubia (Moroccan beans) to match your needs and taste.
